Sergeant Rod Davis said Bendigo police had received four reports of vandalism for the Villawood Properties sign in Maiden Gully since December 2016.
The sign is located at the intersection of the Calder Highway and Hermitage Road.
Most recently it was spray-painted overnight on Thursday, March 23, and then again on Saturday, March 25.
“Every time they clean it up, they do it again,” Sergeant Davis said.
There are no immediate neighbours in the area but police are calling on members of the public to report any suspicious behaviour.
“It would be quite obvious to someone on the highway or passing motorists,” Sergeant Davis said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300, Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
