Essendon won the Premier Cricket second XI flag with a 24-run victory over Frankston Peninsula.
For 17-year-old Ryan, the premiership capped his first season at the Bombers, while Conway, 20, has spent four seasons at the club.
“Jimmy played some match-winning innings for us throughout the first part of the year,” Dickinson said.
“He went through a bit of a down patch through the middle part of the season and went back to the third XI, but he showed his class by responding with a century (107) and 84 and picked himself back in the second XI.”
Batting at No.4, Ryan made 26 in the semi-final against Monash Tigers, 44 in the preliminary final against Prahran and four in the grand final at Casey Fields.
Conway had a major impact behind the stumps in the grand final with four catches and a run out as Frankston Peninsula was dismissed for 248 in reply to Essendon’s 8-272.
Conway was run out for a duck in the Essendon innings.
“Isaac’s glovework and batting over the past 18 months has improved immensely. He’s really good behind the stumps and has played some important innings for us,” Dickinson said.
