Bringing the community together is both a description of what the East Loddon Community Centre does, and what it strives to achieve.
A food share co-operative, an opportunity shop, vocational programs, adult education and hobby group-gardening are among the programs and activities it offers.
Last year, the Country Women’s Association of Victoria Bendigo Northern Group jumped on board to help the East Loddon Community Centre provide more care packages to farming families in need.
While the Food 4 Dairy Farmers campaign helped highlight the importance of the community centre and the initiatives it delivers, East Loddon Community Network Group president Leanne Welsh was hopeful an event at the weekend would present people with opportunities to learn more.
Monster Madness in March runs from 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
It takes place at the community centre, at 789 Dingee Road, Dingee, and presents attendees with an opportunity to check out the newly revamped and restocked op shop.
Activities include a sausage sizzle, morning tea and lucky tickets.
All funds raised will support the community centre and its initiatives.
