– Ben Gunn (Bendigo United): another ripper season from the star opening batsman, who topped the BDCA’s runs for the first time with 557. Cracked three tons among his 10 home and away innings – two of them against Sandhurst – as well as chipping in with seven wickets.

– Andrew Smith (Eaglehawk): 43-years-of-age, but still one of the most dynamic players in the competition with his ability to get the Hawks off to flyers opening the batting and produce eight-fors with the ball like he did against Bendigo in round five. Home and away season combined 438 runs with 18 wickets.
– Heath Behrens (Bendigo United): lost track of the amount of times the warhorse left-hander has made the Addy’s Team of the Year, but he’s in there again for his home and away season of 496 runs, which has included two more tons to add to his BDCA record career tally.
– Cameron Taylor (Strathdale) – in the line-up at No.4, but it’s predominantly his leg-spin bowling that has got him a spot in the team for his competition-best return of 38 wickets, coupled with 326 runs.
– Mitch Winter-Irving (White Hills) – carried another big load at the Demons this year, finishing as both the side’s leading run-scorer (418), including two centuries, and wicket-taker (21).
– Craig Howard (Sandhurst): will have sore shoulders from carrying Sandhurst for much of the season as the Dragons’ best with both the bat (428 runs) and ball (29 wickets).
– Sam Stagg (White Hills): second year in a row selected in the team as the wicket-keeper. Took 16 dismissals behind the stumps to go with 355 runs, including four scores above 50.
– Scott Trollope (Golden Square): been around for a while, but this has been a big breakout season for the all-rounder with 29 wickets and 296 runs.
– Nathan Fitzpatrick (Bendigo): was one of the leading pacemen in the competition with his return of 29 wickets. Didn’t have his best season with the bat, but still contributed a handy 212 runs.
– Nick Crawford (Bendigo United): wily veteran off-spinner who still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve, as he showed by finishing second on the BDCA wickets tally after the home and away season with 31.
– Richard Tibbett (Eaglehawk): was a key cog in the Hawks finishing on top of the ladder with his 29 home and away wickets.
