Jets’ teenager Darcy Hunter earned man-of-the-match honours in Strathfieldsaye’s EVCA division three grand final win.
Aged just 13, Darcy was voted the grand final’s most influential player for his 3-27 off 15 overs, as well as a catch and run-out.
Strathfieldsaye defeated Maiden Gully by five wickets to win the premiership.
Darcy has a chance at winning another premiership this weekend when he lines up in the Jets’ team to play Kangaroo Flat in the BDCA under-14A grand final.
Meanwhile, Strathfieldsaye’s win over Marong in last weekend’s BDCA under-14B semi-final featured a hat-trick to the Jets’ Bayden Hunter.
All three of Bayden’s hat-trick wickets – Blake Howarth, Adam Button and Tristian Rowe – were bowled as he finished with 3-4 off five overs.
The 12-year-old now has the grand final to look forward to this weekend.
