The shows are Jagger’s only Australian gigs as he heads back to the UK from New Zealand.
Jaggers starts his Bendigo tour on Friday, March 24, with a free show at Handle Bar from 6pm.
On Saturday afternoon he will play on the Blues Tram with Bendigo musician Bill Barber for just 45 people.
Following the intimate tram performance, Jagger will play at the Rifle Brigade Hotel with support acts Midweek Blues and Steve Davis.
“We are, of course, really excited to have Chris Jagger coming to Bendigo,” Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival director Colin Thompson said.
“He’s a consummate performer who draws on many types of music in his shows. It’s a great coup for Bendigo.”
Jagger’s career goes back to the 1970s. He has recorded more than 100 songs and plays a mix of many styles, encompassing blues, folk and Cajun influences.
Tickets for the Blues Tram are available from Bendigo Visitor Centre on 1800 813 513. The Blues Tram will leave Central Deborah Gold Mine at 2pm.
Chris Jagger’s performance at the Rifle Brigade Hotel starts at 6pm. Entry is $10.
