Footy, netball in spotlight

Central Victorian football and netball seasons are just around the corner and from Monday the Bendigo Advertiser will preview your club’s prospects in 2017.

Over the next three weeks, every club in the Loddon Valley, Heathcote District and Bendigo football netball leagues will be featured, starting on Monday with LVFNL clubs Bears-Lagoon Serpentine and Bridgewater.

The arrivals and departures for every footy and netball team will be highlighted, along with the latest insight from every footy and netball coach.

The Addy’s local footy and netball experts will also give their predictions for each league.

Season previews for the Bendigo Pioneers, Bendigo Thunder and Bendigo Umpires Association will also be featured.

The previews will be published in the Bendigo Advertiser each day and on-line at www.bendigoadvertiser.com.au

The practice match schedule for central Victorian clubs heats up this weekend.

LVFNL practice matches on Saturday:

BL-Serpentine v Lockington-Bamawm United at Lockington.

Inglewood v Quambatook at Inglewood.

Maiden Gully YCW v Natte Bealiba at Maiden Gully.

Mitiamo v Charlton at Charlton. Newbridge v Parkside at Newbridge.

Pyramid Hill v Nagambie at Nagambie.

HDFNL practice matches on Saturday:

Elmore v Wakool at Elmore.

Heathcote v Wallan at Heathcote.

LBU v Bears Lagoon-Serpentine at Lockington.

Mt Pleasant v Wedderburn at Toolleen.

North Bendigo v Maryborough.

White Hills v Wycheproof at Wycheproof.

BFNL practice matches on Saturday:

Gisborne v Rupertswood at Essendon Fields.

Golden Square v Tatura at Tatura.

Kangaroo Flat v Kerang, venue to be confirmed.

Sandhurst v Benalla at Colbinabbin.

South Bendigo v Balwyn at Epsom-Huntly Recreation Reserve, Shaun Bergin Memorial Game.

Meanwhile, the Bendigo Pioneers TAC Cup girls play their second match of the season this weekend.

AFter being beaten by 70 points by Murray Bushrangers in their season-opener, the Pioeers tackle the Eastern Ragers at RAMS Oval in Melbourne at 4pm on Sunday.
