Square, East to go toe-to-toe for third year in a row

GOLDEN Square will be determined to put an end to Bendigo East’s winning run in BBD midweek pennant grand finals on Friday.

For the third year in a row Square and East will face off for the division one premiership at Woodbury from 10am in what’s a stand-alone game after the other four grand finals were played on Tuesday.

East has won the past two grand final meetings between the clubs to be now eyeing off a hat-trick of premierships.

Square holds a 2-1 head-to-head advantage over East this season, including winning by one shot in the qualifying final to take the direct route to the grand final.
