Organiser InnovationAus.com says Intelligent Communities has been designed to align with the federal government’s Smart Cities Plan.
The forum will look at policy announcements, funding plans, and city deals aimed at attracting capital investment.
It will also consider cities where major central redevelopments have been undertaken or are under way, the work of angel investors and how collaborations are building the necessary information and communications technology.
Speakers and panellists will include local and state government representatives, members of the business community, government department representatives and academics.
The federal government says its Smart Cities Plan will “position our cities to succeed in the 21st century economy”.
The three pillars of the plan are “smart investment, smart policy and smart technology”.
