A HOUSE is understood to have been destroyed in a blaze at Heathcote on Monday evening.
Emergency services were called to Wright Street at 7.26pm, where they found a house engulfed in flames.
The blaze was brought under control nearly half an hour later.
Buildings either side were threatened, but firefighters managed to stop the fire spreading.
Crews from Axedale, Heathcote, Costerfield and Tooborac attended.
