Police are investigating a petrol drive-off in Echuca after a silver Holden Commodore sedan driven by an unknown man was seen at a service station on Ogilvie Avenue about 11.30pm on January 2.

A second man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, got out and filled the car and a jerrycan with fuel and returned to the vehicle.
The men then drove off with neither of the occupants making any attempt to pay for the petrol.
The car was fitted with false plates at the time, registration RKJ 316.
