Acrobats will fly, clowns bumble and fumble and motorcyclists thrill crowds in circus shows from Wednesday to Sunday.
General manager Shane Lennon said he and the 35 performers loved touring the country with their show.
“You get variety every day. Each town is different and the people you meet as you travel are great,” he said.
“We haven’t been to Bendigo for about three years. We tour for three years then change the show and do a whole new production.
“So what people see this year are different artists and production than previously (visited).”
Mr Lennon is a fifth generation circus performer.
“My family has been running circus productions in Australia for over a hundred years,” he said.
“I was a flying trapeze artist when I was younger, so my favourite part of the show is the flying trapeze.”
It takes the circus two days to set up the site for their performance.
“We travel Monday, set up Tuesday and Wednesday, perform Wednesday to Sunday and pack it away and move to next town,” he said.
The Great Moscow Circus will be in Bendigo until March 12 before they head to Ballarat. Head to www.thegreatmoscowcircus.com.au to book tickets.
