Six batsmen scored centuries as the batsmen piled on the runs.
In the under-16A division, Sandhurst’s Nick Gladman struck his third century of the season and team-mate Caelen Smith made his first ton as the Dragons made 4-379 off 50 overs against Bendigo United.
Smith made 105 retired and Gladman smashed 100 retired off just 51 balls.
Sandhurst’s big score came in reply to the Redbacks’ total of 175. Darcy Radford made 45 for BUCC, while Gladman took 4-34 and Kayde Howard 3-39 for Sandhurst.
Kangaroo Flat’s Riley Burns made his second century of the season to lead the Roos to an impressive win over Strathfieldsaye.
Burns made 112 retired as his side chased down the Jets’ imposing total of 8-207.
Seamus Dwyer made a superb 104 for the Jets.
Strathdale-Maristians (8-170) scored a thrilling eight-run win over Eaglehawk (9-162).
Reardon McIvor (78 retired) and Zac Featherby (53) rescued the Suns with the bat. Six Eaglehawk players reached double figures, but none scored more than 30. The Suns had seven individual bowlers take wickets.
Bendigo (5-236) proved too strong for Golden Square (7-146).
Jack Merrin (56 not out), Shubham Rana (44) and Kayle Thompson (39) batted well for the Goers, while Caleb Flood (30) led the way for the Bulldogs.
In the final game of the under-16A round, Strathdale Suns (107) defeated Maiden Gully (71) in a low-scoring game.
Liam Ledwidge (3-8) was the most successful bowler for the Suns, while Jackson Evans had the superb figures of 5-19 for Maiden Gully.
There was one century made in under-16B cricket, with Angus Chisholm making a fine 112 not out for Maiden Gully.
In under-14A, White Hills’ Sam Lowes made a brilliant 101 retired in the Demons’ big win over Sandhurst.
Lowes and Max McMurray (62 not out) led the Demons to 6-284. Sandhurst was bowled out for 153. Riley Henderson (28 not out) top scored for Sandhurst and Charlie Cooper claimed 3-11 for White Hills.
Golden Square’s Tom Campbell made 92 in his side’s big win over Mandurang. Square made 283 in a solid team performance, while Mandurang’s Tom Raukola took 4-41.
Mandurang made 37 in its first dig and was 2-44 in its second innings at the close of play.
Matthew Morgan smashed an unbeaten 84 to lead Maiden Gully (167) to victory over Kangaroo Flat (69). Campbell Smith (26 not out) showed resistance with the bat for the Roos, while Blake Walker (3-15) did the damage with the ball for Gully.
Strathdale-Maristians Suns (5-122) defeated Eaglehawk (8-71) thanks largely to a brilliant spell of bowling from James Worme (4-2).
Strathfieldsaye (211) scored a comfortable win over Strathdale-Maristians (9-78).
The Jets had five players score more than 20 in a strong batting performance.
Jai Featherby (38 and 2-6) was best for the Jets. Declan McMahon (22 and 1-25) played well for Strathdale.
Jack Alderson made 19 not out and took 3-4 to lead Marong (5-145) to victory over Bendigo United (8-96). James Tyack (35) batted well for the Redbacks.
