The NSW Swifts host Adelaide before last week's derby winning Giants take on West Coast looking to make it two straight wins to start their season.

Saturday's double header is one of three that will be held at the 17,500-capacity venue throughout the inaugural Super Netball season. In round nine Netball NSW welcomes the two Melbourne teams, before the two Queensland teams venture south in round 14.

Last week's derby was played in front of a packed house at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre, with roughly 4000 fans watching the Giants' comeback win over the young Swifts.

Giants captain Kimberlee Green said after the game that her vastly experienced side had dodged a bullet, a sentiment echoed by English shooter Jo Harten.

"???We're not happy with that performance, as much as we got the two points we want to be better and we want to have fun while we're out there playing as well, we don't want to be under stress and not enjoying our netball," Harten said.

"We wanted to be able to trust each other and let the ball go but we just didn't quite have enough assurance. As we build through the season, playing games like that can only help us.

"We have to start backing ourselves under a bit of pressure. This week is all about just building connections and trying to be the team we know we are and we want to be and play with a bit more confidence which I don't think we had on Saturday."

The Swifts led for large periods against the Giants but were eventually overrun by their star-studded rivals in a frantic final quarter.

West Coast suffered a similar loss last week, leading to three-quarter time against Adelaide before crumbling in the last period to lose by five points.

And while the Fever have been tipped to struggle this season, Harten said the Giants would need to improve to make it back-to-back wins.

"We played them twice in preseason, we know them pretty well and they had the majority of their team against us so we know what we're going to come up against and what we're going to face," Harten said.

"We want to play our game and try and get our connections going. We know they've got some firepower in their attack end, they've got Nat Medhurst who is obviously an amazing goaler.

"It's just working that real dogged defence, keeping her out of the game and just trying to finish off the simple things in attack."
