After a horror start to the season in which they conceded 12 goals in a a pair of losses, Bendigo City pegged the margin back to a respectable 1-0 in a loss last weekend to Moreland City.
It followed a week in which team systems and structures were overhauled with credible effect.
Baresic said with another week under their belt to adapt to the changes, Bendigo City would enter the clash at Chaplin Reserve in Sunshine with a good degree of confidence.
"We made a lot of changes in a short period of time. I changed my tactics and the players have worked very hard the last two weeks," he said.
"Things are starting to work well now, there's a huge difference (from two weeks ago).
"The different approach and tactics has brought out the best in some players.
"We're still suffering with a few injuries, but we hope a few of the boys get back soon.
"I am expecting a better performance again this week."
Recent results and Sunshine's overall win-loss record points to the Georgies being a potentially vulnerable opponent for Bendigo City FC.
The home side boasts a 2-1 win over Werribee City and nil-all draw against the same Moreland City team Bendigo City narrowly fell to last week.
Baresic praised his playing group for embracing recent changes and was confident positive things would flow once the team hit the scoreboard for the first time.
"A draw would be good from a self confidence point of view, but I'll always try to get the three points (for a win)," he said.
"Only three points makes a difference."
The Georgies boast considerable strike power through Nepali international Jagajeet Shrestha and Souheil Azagane, who both scored in last week's win over Werribee, and youngster Adam Hodor, who scored twice on debut in round one.
Baresic said he would continue to utilise converted defender Ahmed Badawy as a striker, while gun midfielder Charlie McCormick would use be used in attack.
He said while an application for a Visa player had been rejected by the league, the club had signed a promising former Melbourne City youth player, who would debut next week.
