Entering the last round of the season the Crows, who are playing at home, sit in fourth position with 110.5 points, while the Rangas are fifth with 101.9.
The Crows’ season looked just about shot earlier this month after they suffered a shock loss to West Bendigo.
However, its outright win over Emu Creek last round propelled Spring Gully into the top four as it overtook Mandurang after it suffered a three-run loss to United.
The game will feature both the EVCA’s leading wicket-taker James Fox (Spring Gully, 30) and run-scorer Matt Giri (Mandurang, 622).
• There will be no easing into the finals for Sedgwick and United when they meet at Club Court.
The Tigers are on top of the ladder, while the Rams sit in third position, with the two sides having lost just three games between them.
Could this be a grand final preview?
• Emu Creek will take on Marong at JG Edwards Oval, with both teams fighting to avoid the wooden spoon.
With just three wins between them for the season, the Panthers and Emus fill the bottom two positions on the ladder.
• Golden Gully will be on the rebound from its second loss of the season when it plays at Maiden Gully.
While the Cobras – coming off a loss to Sedgwick last round – have a finals series to look forward to, Maiden Gully’s unsuccessful appeal this week to get 12 points reinstated for its round six team sheet error has killed off its top four hopes and it now has just pride to play for.
Predictions – Spring Gully, United, Emu Creek, Golden Gully.
