Playing in the Strathfieldsaye Blue under-11A team against Bendigo United at Ewing Park, Lochie bagged five wickets in his first over, including a hat-trick with the first three balls he bowled for the Jets after recently moving from Rochester.
Lochie’s hat-trick off his first three deliveries featured a bowled, caught, and bowled.
A dot ball followed on his fourth delivery, before he finished with two more wickets – bowled and caught.
Following his 5-0 first over, Lochie ended the match with the brilliant figures of 6-5 off three overs, including two maidens.
Despite the superb bowling feat from Lochie, Strathfieldsaye Blue was unable to beat Bendigo United, going down to the Redbacks by 13 runs.
The under-11 season will continue for Strathfieldsaye Blue this Friday night when the teams takes on Mandurang at Mandurang.
