BBRMF director Colin Thompson said it was good to look toward the 2017 event after crowdfunding to pay off debt to the 2016 event.
“Artists are here helping out with what they see as a great contribution to music scene at grass roots level,” he said. “We have a strong following of people who are happy to lend a hand when it’s needed. It's a good show of faith.”
Mr Thompson said the festival will focus on bettering itself, starting with a economically sustainable business plan.
“(The festival) now has to be more economically sustainable,” he said.
“We have a lot of partners, including numerous arms of the City of Greater Bendigo, working with us (to help achieve that).”
This year’s BBRMF is on from November 9 to 12.
