The previously undefeated Vics had beaten NSW by 12 points in the preliminary rounds, but it was the visitors who had the last laugh.
Angus Glover scored 22 points to lead NSW into a grand final showdown on Saturday against South Australia. SA advanced after defeating 87-69 in the other semi-final.
Victoria and NSW will clash in the women’s under-20 final after they scored impressive semi-final wins.
Victoria thumped SA 83-39, while NSW proved too good for WA, 74-60.
The gold medal games start at 4pm and 6pm.
In the Ivor Burge Championships, Victoria will play the ACT in Saturday’s gold medal game at noon, while the men’s final will be played between Victoria and South Australia at 2pm.
