The program supports new nurses who have completed their studies make the transition into the health services industry.
Bendigo Health’s Sally Lima said the nurses start their careers at an exciting time.
“It is an exciting time in Bendigo Health’s history and their enthusiasm is a real benefit,” she said.
“This program has been going for about 30 years. The biggest transition for new nurses is the change being delegated work to being professionally employed and having your own responsibilities.
“It also sees them going being students to working shift work.
“Some graduates have also moved significant distances to live here, which can be challenging.”
