The Harriers, Eaglehawk and South Bendigo are tipped to again be among the leading contenders for overall honours, as well as the men’s and women’s team categories.
Harriers have 37 athletes entered in 149 events.
South’s tally is 35 and 141, Eaglehawk has 28 athletes in 124 events.
Bendigo University will be represented by six athletes.
Leading medal contenders in the Bendigo Harriers squad include Cooper Saunders, Hakan Karhan, Sharon Barr, Jalen Hoskin, Geoff Jordan, Ben Powell, Zahli Drummond, Kyle Murphy, Brett Gilligan, Yvette Tuohey, Geoff Shaw, Bailey and Mackenzie Cooper, Aiden Smith and Christopher Browne.
A strong Eaglehawk line-up is led by Terry Hicks, Leah and Niah Langtree, Denise Snyder, Olivia Graham, Barb Bryant, Carlie Whitford, Josh Henthorn, Gabrielle Rusbridge, Asher Jones and David Chisholm.
The Hayes, Berg and Trew siblings, Carol Coad, Taryn Furletti, Greg, Jake and Kyle Hilson, Abbey Hromenko, Leigh Browell, Ella Farnell, Daniel Plowright and Chris Timewell will lead South Bendigo’s charge for glory.
University’s Mike Bieleny, Craig Green, Wil McCaig, David and Matthew Heislers will be ones to watch on the track. The action begins at 1pm on Thursday.
