EPSOM’S unbeaten run against Premier League ladder-leader Spring Gully Butterflies continued in Friday night’s 13th round of the Bendigo Tennis Association season.

The clash between first and second on the ladder was played at Bendigo Lawn Tennis Club.
Victorious in three of the four singles contests, Epsom won 10 sets 62 games to six sets 48 games.
Highs for Epsom included tie-break wins for Jono Guy and Ben Bailey against Jamie Brown and Craig Nolen respectively.
Danielle Bowles fought back from a 4-6 loss in the opening set to beat Epsom’s Brad Slingo, 6-0 10-7.
Gully’s only victory in the singles was a 6-3 6-3 triumph by Heather Robbins against Bronwyn Osborne.
In the doubles, Guy and Bailey were beaten by Brown and Nolen, 2-6 6-4 7-10, but Robbins and Slingo teamed for a 6-3 6-2 result against Bowles and Osborne.
Epsom’s victory followed an 11-game triumph against the Gully in round eight.
• In Friday night’s other matches, South Bendigo and Bendigo Lawn Quest were in hot form.
South Bendigo won all six rubbers in a 12-68 to 2-42 win against Bendigo Lawn Rising.
Closest duels were a 6-4 5-7 10-7 win by Ryan Leader against Clark Forbes, and a 6-1 2-6 10-7 victory for Peter Somerville against Rashelle Blencowe.
In the number one singles, Jordan Hicks beat Jayden Blencowe, 6-4 6-3, as Grant Leader won a close duel with Jacob Grieves, 6-4 7-6.
South dominated the doubles.
Hicks and Grant Leader beat Jayden Blencowe and Grieves, 6-3 6-1, while Ryan Leader and Somerville joined forces in a 6-2 6-1 win against Forbes and Rashelle Blencowe.
• Bendigo Lawn Quest kept in touch with the top four as it beat Strathfieldsaye by 28 games.
Quest won all six rubbers and conceded just two sets in a 69-41 victory.
A great night for Quest’s Ryan Brook included a 4-6 6-4 10-6 win against Kel Noonan, and a hard-fought doubles victory with Isaac Watson against Nick Bath and Noonan.
The singles matches included a 6-4 6-4 win by Watson against Bath, while Simon Kelly defeated Michael Nihill, 6-3 6-2.
Brad Reeves achieved a straight-sets win against Tova Penno.
A superb feat by Quest included a 6-4 6-3 victory by Kelly and Reeves against Nihill and Penno.

Meanwhile, in Saturday’s section one matches, Spring Gully Panthers beat Bendigo Lawn Infants, 5-64 to 5-6, as Sensation beat BLTC clubmates Stingers by 19 games.
Racqueteers won the all Spring Gully clash with Phoenix by 27 games.
