Total Magic has won two of his past four outings, including a slick 34.08 Sandown 595m win on December 18 and a fast 37.81 win at Lord’s Raceway on December 30.
Ideally drawn towards the outside of the field in box six and opposed to a steady field, only bad luck will see Total Magic beaten.
The main dangers look to be last-start Bendigo winner Stunning Success and veteran stayer Lioness Lulu.
Another chaser that looks superior to his opposition that only needs a touch of luck early is Dance Craze in race three.
Looking for a change of luck after finishing second in fast times at his past two starts at Ballarat, Dance Craze should be able to find a forward position early from box two and with galloping room he will prove too strong.
Consistent sprinters Cosmic Yap and Vanderville will give good sights and be right in the finish should Dance Craze find trouble during the run.
Krystals The One, a kennel mate to Dance Craze, will take plenty of catching in race 10.
A winner twice in her past three race track appearances including a slick 22.07 last start Ballarat win, Krystals The One has a good turn of foot and if she begins well enough could find the front early.
Audacious Mickan is very strong and has drawn box one and she will be the punters elect and make Krystals The One work hard for the victory.
