Formosa started last year on the Pioneers’ rookie list, but worked his way into the side for eight games in the TAC Cup, where he was named in the best players five times.

Formosa was also aligned with Strathfieldsaye last year and won the Rod Ashman Medal as best-on-ground in the Storm’s under-18 grand final win over Sandhurst.

Formosa is also a previous winner of the Heathcote District league’s under-17 Roulston Medal when he polled a remarkable 37 votes in 2015.
