Bulley – whose netball journey started at Calivil United and then Sandhurst – retired in 2015 after Australia’s World Cup gold medal success.
However, with the Giants losing defender Kristiana Manu’a to a ruptured Achilles tendon last month, Bulley, 34, has been lured out of retirement by coach Julie Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald is a former coach of Bulley at the Sydney Swifts.
“The body almost feels better than when I retired – I think that 18 months off has left me feeling really refreshed, and I’m really excited to be back and being part of Giants Netball,” Bulley told the club’s website on Friday.
Bulley played 42 games for Australia during her international career.
The Giants’ first game of the Super Netball season will be against the New South Wales Swifts on Saturday, February 18.
