VICTORIA has breathed new life into its Australian Country Cricket Championships campaign with a crushing wn over top-of-the-ladder Queensland.

After being sent in to bat, the Vics posted a healthy 5-252 off their 50 overs

Sandhurst's Taylor Beard was the only BDCA player to bat, finishing unbeaten on six.

In reply, the Vics, with Strathdale-Maristians all-rounder Cameron Tayloir chiming in with two wickets, dismissed the Maroons for 178,

Taylor finished with 2-33 of 5.4 overs.

A third BDCA player - Bendigo's Nathan Fitzpatrick - was rested from Monday's match but did take a catch at the substitute fielder.

The win levelled the Victorians' record at 3-3 ahead of Tuesday's clash against East Asia Pacific.
