Strikes aplenty for Bendigo bowlers at Emerson Shield competition

TWELVE junior ten-pin bowlers have represented Bendigo at the recent Emerson Shield competition in Morwell.

The Bendigo team of six girls and six boys were pitted against bowling centres from around the state in the tournament.

The girls team performed strongly over the two days of action to finish second in the six-team competition.

Starring for the side was Grace Fahy, who was selected in the All-Star team.

Fahy finished with the second highest average for the tournament in the girls division.

The girls team also featured Alyssa Spofforth, Maddisyn Lefevre, Megan Bramley, Tylah Moloney and Nikaylah Spofforth.

The boys team finished the tournament in fourth position out of seven teams.

The boys team was represented by Jaidyn Lloyd, Jarrod Topp-Lowe, John Varker, Jason Topp-Lowe, Cameron Adams and Henry Maxwell.
