Top of their class
Central Victorian VCE students recorded a number of impressive ATAR scores on Monday. Among those celebrating was Girton Grammar School dux Sebastian Hawke, who finished with a perfect score of 99.95. At Catholic College Bendigo, three students – Aram Perez, Emma McGregor and Jack Duckett – shared the dux with a score of 99.35. Read more here.
Bendigo man jailed for ‘vicious, cowardly attack’
A man who stabbed a Bendigo woman at least 10 times to the face and back in front of her young children has been sentenced to 10 years’ jail for the “vicious, sustained and cowardly attack”. Read more here.
