The temperature in Bendigo fell below 9 degrees in the early morning and was expected to reach a top of 20 degrees – about 6 degrees below the December average.
Castlemaine is in for a mostly cloudy day with a forecast daytime temperature of 18 degrees, while Kyneton can expect a possible shower in the morning and a maximum of 16.
