Taylah Hocking, 19, pleaded guilty in the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday to driving in a manner dangerous, failing to stop after an accident in which a person was killed, and failing to render assistance.
The charges stem from the hit-and-run death of 45-year-old Tracey-Lee Kemp on the Midland Highway about 3am on Sunday, August 14.
Hocking was committed to a plea hearing at the Bendigo County Court in February, to be followed by a sentencing hearing.
She remains on bail at her North Bendigo address, but must only report to the police station once a week – down from her previous conditions of three times a week.
Hocking must surrender her passport and cannot contact witnesses, apart from her family.
She was once again supported in court by a large group of family and friends.
