They are in the final stages of preparing the Kids Christmas Concert which is at Bendigo Stadium on Sunday, December 11.
Presented by the BTC and the Hindsight Club, the concert raises money for the Bendigo Health Foundation.
“It was incredibly well received because it is such a good cause that people can get on board with,” production manager and BTC committee member Alicia Barker said.
“We were stoked with the feedback, so it was a no brainer to put it on again.
“This year we are hoping to put on two shows but at this stage it is only one. It depends on how ticket sales go over the next week. If people want it, then it is definitely a possibility.”
The Kids Christmas Concert was developed by The Hindsight Club as a way to raised funds for the Bendigo Health Foundation.
Last year the concert’s debut raised $7000 with hundreds of kids enjoying the show.
“The Hindsight Club and Win Television are the two major sponsor which helps us to provide the entertainment and make sure the Bendigo Health Foundation get all the proceeds,” Ms Barker said.
The show follows the characters in Santa’s village as they try to find Santa who has gone missing ahead of Christmas Eve.
“It really is about the kids and the Christmas songs. There is plenty of fun for the kids,” Ms Barker said.
“We have been rehearsing and getting into the Christmas spirit since October and it has been really good.
“Our first full run through last weekend went really well. It is a similar concept to last year but there are some new bits too. Hopefully people want to come and enjoy it again.”
Bendigo Health Foundation Jane Anderson said she hopes the concert continues to grow and get more popular.
“It is just a fabulous event that will blow people out of the water,” she said.
“It has been great organisation by Scott Hosking and his team as well as Bendigo Theatre Company and Bendigo Stadium.
“Last year kids came with their parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. It was a wonderful thing.”
Ms Anderson said any funds raised will go to buying new equipment at the Bendigo hospital.
