South Australian blues rock duo Lily and the Drum will headline a show at the Old Church on the Hill this weekend.

Presented by the Bendigo Folk Club, the gig will also feature Bendigo singer-songwriter William Alexander.

The duo have been performing for the past five years and toured extensively through Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia.

Bendigo performer William Alexander has featured at the last two Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festivals.

Originally from New South Wales, he moved to Bendigo at the start of 2015, after taking a liking to folk music while growing up.

“(It’s what I heard) living in the bush in New South Wales with the the old guys playing on guitars,” he said

Lily and the Drum and William Alexander perform at the Old Church on the Hill on Saturday from 7pm.

Tickets are $12 and available at the door. Music starts at 8pm.
