Bendigo police sergeant Robert Walsh said the 20-year-old Bendigo man allegedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving on Bursaria Street about 11pm, before careering through a fence and into the house causing “significant” damage.
No one was injured but Sergeant Walsh said the home's laundry area was badly damaged in the crash and building inspectors were on site today to determine if the building was still habitable.
Sergeant Walsh said the vehicle was impounded and the man lost his licence on the spot after recording a blood alcohol concentration of 0.113.
He will appear in court for driving offences at a later date.
