Table tennis team shines at state titles

The Eaglehawk Secondary College intermediate table tennis team finished sixth at the recent School Sport Victoria state titles at MSAC.

The Eaglehawk team defeated Bendigo schools, including Girton, CCB, BSE, Weeroona, Crusoe and East Loddon to qualify for the regional finals.

In the regional finals, the Eaglehawk team defeated St Joseph’s College, Mildura to earn its ticket to the state finals. 

Making it to state finals put Eaglehawk into the top eight schools in Vicotria. Their pool included Melbourne High School, Warrnambool College and Cathedral College Wangaratta.

The Eaglehawk team played well to finish in sixth place.

The team included captain Micah Hartland, Keelan Bertuch, Anthony Brown, Kayne Brown and Bailey Vroom.  Coach: Ryan Geier.

This was also the second consecutive year that the team made it to state finals
