Lockwood Primary School’s Junior School Council came up with the idea of the pyjama day to raise money for Bendigo Health’s child and adolescent unit, with each student contributing a gold coin donation.
They also held a sale of donated secondhand toys.
“It’s great to see students thinking of others and supporting their needs especially as some of our patients in the child and adolescent Unit would be a similar age to them,” Bendigo Heath Foundation director Jane Anderson said.
“Fundraising activities in the community such as this allows us to provide additional equipment and support to enhance the experience of our patients.”
