The region’s newest breast cancer retreat is opening its doors to the community that enabled its construction.
The OTIS Foundation is hosting a community fun day in Redesdale on Saturday to celebrate the completion of Kez’s Hideaway.
Bendigo builder Paul Gray built the retreat in memory of his late wife Kerri, who battled breast cancer for four years before it claimed her in March 2011.
The community fun day runs from 10am – 2pm at 242 Racecourse Road, Redesdale, and features kids activities, a free sausage sizzle, market stalls and house tours every half hour.
Kez’s Hideaway will be officially opened at 11.20am.
“This project has truly embodied the spirit of giving,” said OTIS Foundation general manager Rachel Mason.
