Bride: Crystal Essex
Groom: Luke Hales
Wedding date: Saturday, October 22, 2016
The meeting: We through a mutual friend but years later ended up working with each other and living next door to each other and became best friends.
The proposal: Luke took me on a big hiking adventure and proposed over a waterfall.
The wedding day: It was supposed to be a beautiful spring wedding day but ended up being cold and rainy. My late father must have been making an appearance for me because the sun and blue sky came out as soon as I arrived to walk down the aisle after it had been pouring rain just 10 minutes earlier. We had Luke’s two eldest sons, Tyler and Bailey, walk first with the rings, then Luke’s two eldest girls, Hollie and Jasmine, and my daughter, Sophia, walk next with the flower petals. Sophia held the basket while the girls threw the petals. My bridesmaids were my sister Becc and good friend Tanna Ellis, they were accompanied by Mark McKay and Ben Matthews.
Sophia made the day by dancing through whole ceremony in front of everyone.
The dress: My dress was a Jadore J8083 dress; lace, ivory, v neck and back floor length dress. I purchased it from Bendigo Bridal Collections.
The cake: Our cake was made by Luke's good friend Sarah. It was a white pink and gold cake.
Photography: Tanna Ellis did the most amazing job for us, especially as she was apart of the bridal party also! She went above and beyond!
Honeymoon destination: All Seasons Hotel.
