Played at Kardinia Park last Sunday, Jets' 15-and-under reserves team lost a thrilling grand final 9-11 to Ballarat.
The team, comprising mostly 13 and 14-year-old players, qualified for the semi-finals after two matches each against Ballarat, Shepparton, Notre Rebels and Geelong Central.
Jets advanced to the grand final with a 7-5 win over Geelong Central.
Coach Lynn Brain said all teams were evenly matched all day in what was a very tough competition.
She said her players' defensive skills were key to them reaching the grand final.
The team was Jasmine Collins, Deanna Duane, Tori Fox, Keira Lane, Piper Normoyle, Holly Normoyle, Bella Pitto and Alex Rusbridge.
