Friday afternoon’s meeting in the normal twilight timeslot is full of quality, with arguably the best runner at the meeting being Your Shout Punk in race six.
A talented former NSW sprinter now with Wayne Vassallo in Victoria, Your Shout Punk is a winner of 16 races from 37 starts and at his most recent outing he showed terrific pace to lead until the concluding stages in a heat of the Geelong Cup last start.
Your Shout Punk has never been to Bendigo, but has terrific pace and the big class drop from his most recent outings should see him lead throughout.
Should Your Shout Punk be successful as expected then the speedy Hawka Tron looks the goods in race eight.
Only two runs back on September 16 Hawka Tron chased home Your Shout Punk over the 400m at Geelong to finish a four length second in smart time, before being a similar margin behind him again when unplaced in the same Geelong Cup heat.
From box one Hawka Tron should bounce straight to the front and take plenty of catching.
The value runner of the meeting could be Fabregas Lara in the ninth event.
Despite only winning once in 24 starts Fabregas Lara races well at Bendigo and in recent outings has been unlucky not to salute.
This is probably the weakest opposition Fabregas Lara has met for a while and with such a poor wining strike rate he is likely to be nice odds.
