Just when we thought the Perth Wildcats' week couldn't get any stranger, they announce the return of a player they delisted just over a week ago ... and all with a little help from Lord of the Rings - obviously!

In a bizarre video posted on the Wildcats Facebook page on Thursday afternoon, a Photoshopped scene from Lord of the Rings announced the return of forward Jaron Johnson.
The announcement, seemingly straight out of Mordor, sees Johnson return 10 days after he was given the chop on October 17 - clearly he was Gollum nowhere.
Following his delisting the Wildcats announced his replacement Andre Ingram, who then in turn departed swiftly citing "mental health issues."
After being released by the Wildcats, 24-year-old Johnson continued to work out privately with the club's assistant coaches and manager Trevor Gleeson said they were pleased to welcome him back in to the fold, after clearly Tolkien him round.
"We've always said Jaron is a great guy and he's basically remained a part of the group," said Trevor Gleeson.
"The guys love him, what has happened is a part of being a professional. We're happy to have him back."
The import will play in tomorrow's clash with the Illawarra Hawks and the club now intends for him to see out the rest of the 2016/17 season for Perth.
Hopefully this Wildcats merry-go-round doesn't become a Hobbit.
