Food, wine and classical music will flow through the historic building with audiences to be treated to renditions of works by Dvorak, Beethoven and Kodaly for piano, violin and cello.
"We always enjoy having classical musicians play within the gaol itself,” event manager Gayle McClure said.
“The acoustics and setting means the sound floats throughout this heritage building and gives the audience a chance to enjoy classical performers in a non-classical setting."
Since their formation in early 2012, the Orpheus Piano Trio have enjoyed the challenge of being a regionally based, interstate trio performing works throughout Europe, Asia and Australia.
They are excited to once again be bringing their music to Castlemaine audiences.
The Orpheus Piano Trio perform at the Old Castlemaine Gaol on Sunday October 30 at 2pm. Tickets are $30 and available from www.trybooking.com/MNET
