The 12-day meet has drawn more than 4000 athletes.
All four AB clubs – Bendigo Harriers, Bendigo University, Eaglehawk and South Bendigo – have athletes vying for glory in a variety of events.
Leading contenders include Eaglehawk’s Barb Bryant in the 60-64 years walks and clubmates David Chisholm and Toni Phillips in the hurdles; and Peter Cowell from Bendigo Harriers in the 50-54 years 5000m and the 8km cross-country.
Also heading west is Josh Savage to officiate.
The AB members who will compete at the Games:
Leigh Browell, South Bendigo, 40-44 years: 3000m steeplechase.
Barb Bryant, Eaglehawk, 60-64 years: 5km walk, 10km walk, 20km walk.
David Chisholm, Eaglehawk, 45-49 years: 400m hurdles.
Peter Cowell, Bendigo Harriers, 50-54 years: 5000m, 8km cross-country.
Craig Green, Bendigo University, 45-49 years: 5000m, marathon.
Kathryn Heagney, Eaglehawk, 65-69 years: 200m, 400m, 800m.
Philip Noden, Bendigo Harriers, 45-49 years: 800m, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase.
Toni Phillips, Eaglehawk, 40-44 years: 80m hurdles.
Geoff Shaw, Bendigo Harriers, 65-69 years: pole vault, long jump, triple jump.
