The Bendigo Cultural Inclusion Project will see the City of Greater Bendigo, Bendigo Community Health Services and Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services work with new migrants, asylum seekers and refugees, as well as community groups and workplaces.
It aims to improve the social inclusion and participation of multicultural communities, strengthen the organisational capacity of multicultural groups, strengthen employment and health outcomes for multicultural residents, and increase cultural awareness in workplaces throughout the region.
“This funding will go a long way in strengthening ties with multicultural groups across the region and ensuring they have the support they need, when they need it,” Multicultural Affairs Minister Robin Scott said.
