A FLOOD warning is in place for minor flooding along the lower Loddon River.

At Appin South the river was at 3.06 metres and falling at 9.35am Monday, but was expected to remain above the minor flood level of 2.8 metres into Tuesday.
The Loddon River peaked at 77.54 metres at Kerang about 1pm Sunday, above the moderate flood level of 77.5 metres.
On Monday morning it was at 77.48 metres and falling, but was also expected to remain above the minor flood level into Tuesday.
The weather is expected to remain clear for the remainder of Monday, but the Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a medium chance of showers in the area on Tuesday.
The SES has advised people to never walk, ride, drive or play in floodwater, stay away from waterways and stormwater drains during and after heavy rain, and keep clear of fallen power lines.
