Hamilton has been announced as AFL Victoria’s new state talent manager.
"Paul leaves with our absolute blessing and we wish him all the very best in his new role,” AFLCV chair Andrew Cooney said.
“Paul's ability to establish our region and gain the support of leagues and clubs has been excellent.”
Hamilton has held the role of AFLCV’s inaugural regional manager since his appointment in April, 2013.
“We are blessed to have so many wonderful people involved in football and netball throughout our region,” Hamilton said.
“I have been so honoured to have worked for and with these people. I remain in awe of the great community work that our volunteers provide and I wish to take the opportunity to thank everyone who plays a role in our great sports.”
As well as his role with AFLCV, Hamilton has also been involved in the community as an ambassador for the Loddon Women’s Health Group for the Prevention of Violence against Women, sat on the council’s multiculutral inclusion committee and been a member of the committee that has worked to bring the Blue Light Foundation back to central Victoria to assist police in working with disadvantaged youth.
