RELATED: Hopes high for twilight market
It was a Friday night, and the Bendigo South East College campus was bustling.
Families and friends from Bendigo and afar started the weekend at the school’s second twilight market.
There was music in the air as the students showcased their talents, and the food was selling fast.
People perused about 130 stalls, some of which were run by BSE students.
The art auction, a fundraiser for Bendigo Health, raised more than $1000.
Festivities were still underway when Karen Whillance, of the Parents and friends of the BSC music and arts department, spoke to the Bendigo Advertiser.
Last year’s twilight market raised $9,600 for the college’s visual and performing arts department.
Organisers were hopeful this year’s event would be bigger and better.
