Planning reforms will include land definitions, no increases to red tape, and more support for councils to enforce rules and process applications.
The promise coincides with the release of the findings of the Animal Industries Advisory Committee.
The committee was commissioned last year to review planning rules and modernise the planning system.
The government’s response to the commission’s findings is published on the Agriculture Victoria website.
