Williams and Smith both featured at last year’s Bendigo Blues and Rots Festival with popular sets.
Smith arrived in Australia from New Zealand in 1976 and quickly established herself in the music scene.
A singer, she also plays guitar and drums when she needs to.
"I've heard a lot of people say when you're not following a passion you miss it in your heart and that's true. I'm 'not happy, Jan' if I'm not playing,” she said.
Williams hails from the UK and is well known for his looping skills on stage.
As well as being a regular performer at blues festivals, this year Williams was the artistic directer for Windrush.
Windrush was performed at Hamer Hall and featured a 300-person strong choir.
The Bendigo Blues Tram is on Saturday, October 8. It departs from the Central Deborah Gold Mine at 2pm and returns at 4.15pm.
Tickets are $35.
