Castlemaine Police Senior Constable Kim Garsed said a hardware store in Maldon was one of two break-and-enters last night.
“Some cash was stolen from the till – approximately $350 – and some work boots and an angle grinder,” SC Garsed said.
“They also took three-and-a-half pairs of work boots…
“They left a boot behind.”
McDonald Honey in McKenzie Hill was also broken into.
“Somebody got in-and-over the fence, has broken into the offices stolen about $30 of cash,” SC Garsed said.
“But they also found keys and stole a ute from the premise, a green Mitsubishi Triton.”
Anyone with information is urged to call the Castlemaine police station on 5470 4100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
