MIDFIELDER Ben McPhee and young defender Elley Lawton won Eaglehawk Football Netball Club’s highest individual awards on Thursday night.

McPhee won the George Ilsley Medal for the senior football best and fairest, while Lawton was the first winner of the Wendy Ryan Medal for Eaglehawk’s A-grade netball best and fairest.
McPhee polled 111 votes, 15 clear of Brodie Collins on 96, with Jesse Collins third on 71 votes.
Brendan Tanner took out the John Ledwidge Senior Coaches Award. The best in finals awards went to Lachie Ahterton.
Other seniors awards were – goal kicking Matt Gretgrix (90 goals); most determined to Jesse Collins and the rising star award to Gedd Hommelhoff.
Tom Pontell was a clear winner of the Alan Williams Medal in the reserves.
The midfielder polled 112 votes, 42 more than Oscar Madden on 70, with Blake Natoli third on 64. Daniel Rogers won the reserves coaches award.
In the under-18s, Ben Thompson won the best and fairest award named in honour of his father Darren Thompson.
Ben Polled 96 votes to win the Darren Thompson Medal from Joel Mullen on 72 and Billy Ruff on 61. Ben Thompson is the second of Darren’s sons to win the award, with older brother Sam a previous winner.
Joe Kenny won the under-18 coaches award, James Bailey won best clubman, Billy Ruff the most determined and Harry Gadsden was most consistent and best in finals.
In the netball awards, Lawton won the Wendy Ryan Medal from Simone Foster, while the coaches award went to Eleisha Lay.
In the A-Reserve division, Ashlea Jenkyn was the first recipient of the Kylie Piercy Medal for best and fairest. Jenkyn also took out the best in finals award. Runner-up in the best and fairest was Heleen Van Leperen, while Georgina Hyett received the coaches award.
Rani Madden won the B-grade best and fairest from Elli Williams, with Rylee Mylon a worthy winner of the coaches award.
The B-Reserve best and fairest award and best in finals trophy went to Lydia Barri. Runner-up in the best and fairest and coaches award went to Montanna Dean.
In the-17 and under division, the best and fairest award was won by Sophie Peacock ahead of Taylah Pointon. Maddy Foster won the coaches award.
In the Hawks’ development squad, Ellyssa Hartland won the best and fairest from Lily McConachy, with Ruby Pointon receiving the coaches award.
In other awards, Helen Dudley and Shirley Wallis were joint winners of the George Ennor Best Club Person award.
Shirley is known for her timekeeping duties and helping in the canteen, while Helen runs water every Saturday and helps out with the Thursday night teas.
Glenn Daly and Amanda O’Neil were awarded life memberships for their service to the club on and off the footy field and netball court.
Tyler Miles was awarded the committee award and a presentation was made to outgoing senior coach Luke Monaghan.
